This, our final concert of the season, is one not to be missed. It showcases our classical roots and celebrates the one who developed and fine-tuned them over the last 43 years. Artistic Director David Carrier is retiring and this, his final concert, is his magnificent finish: Joseph Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis (Lord Nelson Mass) and J.S. Bach’s Cantata 140 ( Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme ) also known as Awake, a voice is calling. Carrier will conduct orchestra, chorus, and soloists: soprano Dana Varga, mezzo-soprano Vera Savage, tenor Matthew Anderson, and baritone David McFerrin.
Majestic Sounds: sure to inspire joy and hope to the listener, a concert to lift the spirits.
