Chorale Resumes Outreach Program

Directed by soprano Bonnie Kelly, a small group of singers along with Commonwealth Chorale’s versatile and talented rehearsal accompanist, Mark Feldhusen, visited several elder-care facilities and provided an hour-long music program at each. The program was a mix of familiar broadway, folk, and popular favorites as well as selections from a recent Commonwealth Chorale concert. The program ended with a sing-along of well-known songs;  the words were provided to the audience so they could join in the singing. Our audiences really enjoyed these events! A few days after one of these programs, an activities coordinator at one venue sent a follow-up email in which she said, “[The residents] are still talking about the concert, including the sing-along (which they rarely sing along with!). The singers were exceptionally friendly and we want to thank you all for the wonderful evening.”
